Razmjena mladih Red to the bull – Litva / The Red to the Bull Youth Exchange in Lithuania

The Red to the Bull Youth Exchange in Lithuania, in which I participated from November 13th to 21st, was truly a transformative experience that brought together 30 young people from five different countries – Lithuania, Greece, Turkey, Spain, and Croatia. The project, funded by the Erasmus+ program and the European Union, aimed to address the issue of bullying and mobbing in our countries, emphasizing the importance and possibilities of reducing its prevalence.

During the eight-day project, I had the opportunity to get to know the rich traditions of participants from other countries, allowing me to broaden my cultural horizons. However, the project went beyond cultural exchange. Through continuous discussions, problem-solving workshops, and other engaging activities, we delved into various aspects of bullying and explored ways to combat violence. One of the crucial aspects of this project was the incorporation of artistic methods as a means to encourage discussion about the issue of bullying. This fresh and interesting approach made the discussions dynamic and allowed us, as participants, to creatively express our emotions and experiences.

This project had a significant impact on my personal growth; I gained insight into the severity of bullying and its consequences. Most importantly, I developed practical skills to navigate challenging situations. I would like to emphasize that, during one of the workshops, we had the opportunity to work with and talk to a professional psychologist, which was a commendable act by the project organizers.

Of course, such projects are not just full-day workshops. Alongside all the activities, project leaders provided us with enough free time to explore Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania and Elniakampis, where we stayed during the project. Also, free time allowed us to meet other participants better and form truly special friendships, creating some of the most beautiful memories!
